SEEKING AFTER THE GOOD DAY #3

As time has gone one, it has been getting easier and easier to recognize the hand of the lord in my daily life.  I think we too often confine ourselves to our own little world, and forget the great impact others can have in our lives, including God.

One thing that I absolutely love about God, is his Godly nature.  I have always been fascinated by the term "divine nature."  Never really fully knowing what that entailed, I have always been seeking to find its definition.  The Apostle Peter describes divine nature quite well in the New Testament.

2 Peter 1:3-8 reads: "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ."

I found it to be interesting that the character of god, or divine nature, is described as temperate, and patient.  Our God is a loving God.  He knows us by name.  He knows every detail of our lives.  I know this because God is patient with me, and my personal weaknesses.  He loves us enough to give us weaknesses.  Those weaknesses do not have to remain, they can be made into strengths.
